Carabao Cup: Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Wolves - Saheed Olagunju scores for visitors on debut

Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 in the second round of the Carabao Cup, with 19-year-old defender Saheed Olagunju scoring on his senior debut.

Wolves went ahead in the third minute when Joe Lumley parried Tawanda Chirewa's shot into team-mate Sil Swinkels and the ball rebounded into the net. Olagunju doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time by heading in Tommy Doyle's free-kick.

Wednesday's best first-half opportunity was a Harry Gray free-kick saved by Jose Sa. The hosts improved after making substitutions, but Wolves remained in control and protected their clean sheet to reach the third round.
