Genshin Impact creator Hoyoverse announces realistic new Monster Hunter-like game, Nodus Fall

Hoyoverse has unveiled Nodus Fall, a realistic action RPG that draws comparisons with the Monster Hunter series. The game was formally announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 after its trademark had fuelled online rumours.

The reveal trailer showed a new fantasy world, realistic visuals and up to three players confronting large creatures and possible humanoid enemies. The presentation marks a significant stylistic change for a studio best known for anime-inspired, mobile-friendly gacha titles such as Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero.

Hoyoverse did not provide a release date or launch window.
