Spurs expected team vs Charlton - Savio and Luca Williams-Barnett decisions made

Tottenham Hotspur were expected to rotate for their Carabao Cup second-round match against Charlton Athletic as Roberto De Zerbi sought a response to a 3-0 Premier League defeat at Brentford. Charlton arrived with two wins, including an away victory at West Ham.

New £85m signing Savio was eligible to make his debut after his registration was confirmed. Dominic Solanke was fit to start, while Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro were expected on the bench. Mohammed Kudus was not ready to return and James Maddison was ruled out for several weeks with a shoulder injury.
